| Pacific Explorer 2005 is a great opportunity
to participate in an international exhibition in Australia. With the
wholehearted support of Australia Post, the Australian Philatelic
Traders Association and the Australian Philatelic Federation, we are
striving to make it as successful as those that preceded it in 1984
and 1999. And with the granting of Auspices by the FIP in August 2002,
we have the ingredients for another memorable exhibition.
The theme for the exhibition is the Pacific. Countries that have
a connection with the Pacific, either as a function of their geography
or through their exploration of the region, will be participating.
The theme presents many opportunities within philately - Pacific
life and culture, Pacific exploration, the postal history of early
mail routes, the development of the first trans-Pacific flights.
We want to promote the growth of philately and believe that by
providing this exciting forum, and by bringing postal administrations,
dealers and collectors together, philately will prosper. We shall
be putting every effort into making the show both welcoming and
innovative and invite you to help us attain these objectives.
We look forward to your participation in Pacific Explorer 2005
as dealers, exhibitors, jury members and commissioners. You all
have a vital role to play in making an international exhibition
a success. See you in Sydney in 2005.
