Court Of Honour

 

The Court of Honour, or esteemed exhibits, at Pacific Explorer are all focused on the Pacific Rim area and are brought to you by:

— British Library
— Australia Post and the Australian War Memorial
— Private Collections [links as per original site]

British Library

The centrepiece of the Court of Honour at the Pacific Explorer will be a selection of the world’s rarest stamps from the British Library’s Tapling Collection. This will be the first time any portion of the Tapling has been shown in Australia.

Australia Post and The Australian War Memorial

Treasured selections from Australia Post’s National Philatelic Collection will be on view:

— Peoples of the Pacific and
— Navigators

The National Philatelic Collection consists of stamps and stamp artwork from both the Commonwealth and the colonial period, as well as the stamps of every country belonging to the Universal Postal Union.

— as Pacific Explorer is on the weekend preceding Anzac Day historic items from the Australian War Memorial’s philatelic collections will be on display.

Private Collectors

Distinguished internationally recognised private collections will be on view including:

— Arthur Woo’s Nicaragua Collection
— Michael Ho’s Small Chinese Dragons
— Arthur Gray’s Australian Commonwealth
